FEES
Member Conference fees are $110.00 per year. Associate Conference Fees are $80.00 per year. Fees are payable by check or purchase order. (See below for Membership Type Details)

MEMBERS (Conference Fee $110.00 per year)
Those who have been appointed as a METLA designee for their school districts are eligible to register for membership in METLA. This means, after membership registration and payment submission, that you become a voting member and are awarded all the benefits of membership that METLA has to offer.
BENEFITS (From the METLA by-laws *)
- Provide an association for sharing and exchanging best practices, ideas, techniques, materials and procedures for the use of technology inthe K-12 educational environment,
- Encourage and lobby for the increased philosophical and monetary support of technology in order to help improve the education of the youth of Mississippi,
- Provide electronic access to support resources and a network ofhuman resources to aid its members in implementing and supporting technologies in their educational institutions, and
- Collaborate with the Mississippi Department of Education and other stakeholders in establishing and maintaining proper technology standards and procedures and identifying technology needs within the K-12 educational community.

- Attendance at quarterly meetings of METLA to
o Hear the latest from the MDE on its technology andtechnology-related issues
o Share new technology ideas / best practices among school districts
o Build a network of / collaborate with METLA members to assistyou in your district technology endeavors
o Showcase new technology innovations among school districts
o Fellowship with other METLA members during lunches, if applicable, at quarterly meetings-
- Vote on technology issues relative to the state of MS and to your district.
- Assist in getting volume pricing on standardized technology items or groups of items and services.-

Some school districts do *not* have a METLA designee, thus are *not eligible* to have a member represent those districts or have a vote inthe affairs of METLA. If your district superintendent has not already appointed you, as technology coordinator, or another, as the METLA voting designee from your district, then please urge them to do so quickly. ASSOCIATES (Conference Fee $80.00)
Those who consider themselves technology leaders in education whether you are in a leadership position or not, are more invited to join METLAas an associate. While the METLA bylaws only allow members to vote, youc an certainly reap the benefits of being a part of METLA as anassociate. Associates can be any person (other district personnel,businesses, industry, universities, etc.) who has an interest in theimplementation and advancement of technology in Mississippi public
