METLA is hosting a Microsoft Office 365 Admin training on July 11th sponsored by METLA and Microsoft. I am sure that most of you who have been to any Mississippi educational technology meetings where Microsoft has had a presence have met Carlos Fernandez. Carlos has always offered to bring resources and/or people to help Mississippi’s educators leverage Microsoft products and services. For this event, Carlos has brought in Neil Axelrod to present, train, and discuss Office 365 administration. We certainly appreciate Carlos working with METLA to help this happen for Mississippi edtech professionals.

Where: Eagle Ridge Conference Center, 1500 Raymond Lake Rd, Raymond, MS, the same place we have quarterly METLA meetings.
When: July 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (NOTE: Lunch from 12 to 1pm will be on your own.)

An agenda is now available here from Neil and Carlos but they are willing to customize it according to our questions or requests. During registration, there is a question where you can list topics related to Office 365 administration that you would like covered. Please be as specific as you can.

REQUIRED Registration is located here. Please send as many people as you would like but it is required that you register each person.

Google Admin Console training

METLA is hosting a Google Admin training on July 12th sponsored by METLA, CDWG, and AmplifiedIT. I am sure that most of you are aware of CDWG but let me give a bit of background for AmplifiedIT. I first met Peter Henrie, the COO and Founder of AmplifiedIT, at an EdTechTeam Google weekend in Atlanta years ago. I was immediately impressed with not only his technical knowledge but also his practical insights into using Google products in education. Since then his company has consistently been my “go to” for trusty utilities like their Gopher product and their free Centipede solution using Arduino micro circuit boards (read more here.) So when I thought about a Google Admin Console professional training source, I immediately thought of Peter’s company.

CDWG has helped bring them to us in a very short time frame. So please express your appreciation to your CDWG rep!

Where: Eagle Ridge Conference Center, 1500 Raymond Lake Rd, Raymond, MS, the same place we have quarterly METLA meetings.
When: July 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Lunch will be provided by CDWG.)

Details and an agenda are located in this Google Doc.

REQUIRED Registration is located here. Please send as many people as you would like but it is required that you register each person.
